Member Spotlight - Missouri Historical Society Library & Research Center

The Missouri Historical Society Library & Research Center located in St. Louis, Missouri, is home to all the collections in storage for the Missouri History Museum and holds over 175,000 objects/artifacts, over 1 million photographs and prints, over 90,000 volumes of library material including sheet music and maps, and contains 7,900 linear feet of archival documents.

The Library & Research Center has been an Amigos member since the Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC) merger with Amigos in 2012; they were an MLNC member since 1995. They participate in our RDA Toolkit Subscription for FREE as an Amigos member benefit and their staff attend online conferences and training workshops.

Interested in genealogy, house history, or general historical research? There are librarians and archivists on staff to help! Patrons are welcomed to the library’s reading room to come in and do research, but the Library & Research Center is a non-circulating library and items cannot be checked out.

Check out the Missouri Historical Society Library & Research Center's website for more details.

Did you know that the Library & Research Center not only has books and archival prints, but also houses films and videos that are available for viewing?

Amigos Library Services Member Spotlight
We’re proud of our Amigos Library Services members and want to recognize the work that they do in their communities. Each month we will be showcasing an Amigos member library or institution. It’s a great way for Amigos members, and non-members alike, to learn from and meet colleagues and peers.

Would you like your institution to be featured in our spotlight? Send us a message at communications@amigos.org.
