Throughout my term as Chair of the Amigos Board of Directors, I have shared the process the Board has been engaged in these past months creating Plan 2020, the Amigos 5-year strategic plan. The next and most important step in this thought-intensive process is input from Amigos Members.
The Amigos Nominating Committee has announced the slate of candidates for election to the Amigos Library Services Board of Directors. Candidate and voting information is being sent to the designated Voting Representatives of Amigos member institutions as part of an upcoming Call to Meeting mailing.
Inhospitable winter weather around the country played havoc with travel plans, prompting the Amigos Board of Directors to abandon plans to gather in Dallas for a scheduled March 5 meeting and conduct the meeting online. Board Vice Chair Steven Potter, Independence, MO, led the business meeting for Chair Carla Stoffle, Tucson, AZ.
