Amigos wishes to remind those persons designated as Voting Representatives for their Amigos Member institutions that if they plan to vote either by the paper proxy ballots previously mailed to them or by online proxy, all ballots are due at Amigos by 5:00 p.m. CDT tomorrow, May 3, 2013. Voters are being asked to elect members to the Amigos Board of Directors.
The American Libraries Association (ALA) has named its Emerging Leaders of 2013.
Libraries in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas were among the 2013 winners of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) achievement awards, research and travel grants recently announced. The awards encompass the most outstanding librarians, libraries, and projects in the field, and also highlight the promising leaders of tomorrow. Winners will be honored at the RUSA Achievement Awards Reception and Volunteer Appreciation Party, June 30 in Chicago.
